Sea Life Trust Beluga Whale Sanctuary: Puffin Rescue and Aquarium

About
Step into the magical world of the SEA LIFE TRUST Beluga Whale Sanctuary!
Supported by Merlin Entertainments and Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), this sanctuary is a haven for beluga whales, offering them a safe and more natural home.
Join in the vision that encompasses crafting a more natural existence for the belugas they nurture, advancing knowledge through intensive research and enlightening education, and bolstering protection for wild belugas.
There’s also a dedicated centre that caters to pufflings (baby puffins) and helps puffins from Vestmannaeyjar in need of a little TLC. The majority of these feathered friends are rescued by the local Puffling Patrol, which collaborates closely with the Sanctuary. Some are even brought in by caring local residents for a health check, treatment and, if they’re ready, a triumphant release.
